TOPKATA News – Regarding the beating case that happened to a member of the West Sumatra Civil Society (KESM) Dt. Hendra was suspected by 7 nephews of the chairman of KAN Ganggo Hilia, Bonjol Pasaman. As a result of a misunderstanding about the customs about inter-ethnic marriage (one tribe) causing the victim to suffer a broken neck bone and be treated at the M.Jamil hospital, Padang.
One of the relatives of the victim, Riki Hamdani, said that the chronology of the beatings started from different views regarding the marriage customs of the same tribe. At that time, the victim Hendra and his colleague, Manda Raja Bandaro, were summoned by the Chairman of KAN, Dt. Excited to come to his house. When we got there, there were already 7 nephews of Dt. Not long after, there was an argument and a fight broke up by the victim. However, the 7 perpetrators who are the nephews of Dt. Ngamuak beat the victim until he was helpless and rushed to the hospital.

“We ask that the police chief intervene, even the West Sumatran police chief. Because no one is above the law in this republic. So it’s clear that the perpetrators of the persecution have been together but have not been arrested. What’s wrong with the police chief?” scorned Zuhrizul.
He hopes that when the image of the police is down lately, there will be no more strange officers on duty.
