TOPKATA News – The Indonesian U-20 national team ensured qualification to the U-20 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan March 1-18, 2023.

In the last match of Group F at Gelora Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya, the Indonesian U-20 team won 3-2 over Vietnam. Thus Garuda Muda won 9 points from three games and never lost.

Previously, STY also passed the senior national team to qualify for the Asian Cup finals on June 16-July 16, 2023.
Then the Milky Way-coached U-16 squad also won the U-16 AFF Cup. “Thanks again for everything. Hopefully Indonesian football will be more advanced,” added Iriawan.
In that match, Marcelino Ferdinand put Indonesia ahead first in the 60th minute, before being equalised by Vietnam through Ferrari’s suicide (69′). The visiting team turned in the lead through a goal by Dinh Xuan Tien (79′).
Ferrari balanced the lead in the 82nd minute. Rabbani Tasnim’s goal five minutes before normal time ran out ensured Indonesia won 3-2.
