TOPKATA Sport – The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and PSSI held a meeting related to the implementation of the U-20 World Cup. Also present were representatives from the Ministry of Public Works and Rakuat Housing (PU PR), the Ministry of Health, the Police, and several related agencies. The meeting started at 19.30.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali, Acting Sesmenpora Joni Madrizal, Deputy IV of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Chandra Bhakti, and Experts from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Gatos S Dewabroto.
Meanwhile, from PSSI, the General Chairperson of PSSI Mochamad Iriawan, Deputy Secretary General Iwan Budianto, Secretary General Yunus Nusi, Deputy Secretary General Maaika Ira Puspita, and Technical Director Indra Sjafri were present from PSSI.
The meeting discussed FIFA’s visit to Indonesia on June 8-17, 2022. At that time, FIFA representatives visited 6 cities to see 6 stadiums as candidate stadiums for the U-20 World Cup.
”During the visit, FIFA finally concluded temporarily regarding several things. For example stadium grass, training field grass. Then the type of work to be done. There is also the condition of the stadium infrastructure. So we will fix the FIFA records, of course working with the authorities,” said Iriawan.
Iriawan also thanked several ministries that have been helping PSSI so far, namely the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Ministry of Manpower, Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transportation, and Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and Ministry of Public Works and Public Relations, and the Police.
“Don’t forget, most importantly, thank you to President Joko Widodo who has always helped PSSI. Is it related to the U-19 team’s training camp that will compete in the U-20 World Cup as well as the construction and improvement of stadium infrastructure,” added Iriawan.
