TOPKATA News – The Indonesian U-16 National Team (Timnas) defeated Vietnam with a narrow 1-0 score in the final match of the U-16 AFF Cup at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Friday, August 12, 2022 night.

With this result, the Garuda Asia squad came out as champions of the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup.
While Vietnam not only lost in this match. Moreover, the referee rewarded Vietnam head coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan with a red card for excessive protest.
Towards the final minutes of the game there was a lot of drama going on on the pitch. Starting from the tired Indonesian U-16 national team players to violations committed by the Vietnamese players themselves.
Of course, all of that made the match stopped several times and it was clearly not in Vietnam’s favor. There have also been several protests by the Vietnamese coaching team, including Nguyen Quoc Tuan, who often protested loudly to the referee.
Nguyen Quoc Tuan was given the first yellow card. However, the peak of Nguyen Quoc Tuan’s frustration occurred when the Indonesian U-16 national team player, Risky Afrisal, was seen throwing the ball on purpose.
