TOPKATA News – The high rainfall has caused Lokki Village, Hamual District, Western Seram Regency, Maluku Province to be flooded since Saturday, August 27, 2022.
The BNPB Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) reported that as reported by the official BNPB website, floods are still inundating residents’ settlements, roads and other infrastructure.

It was recorded that 125 households or 625 people were affected and 102 houses were flooded. Moreover, the water level reaches 65 centimeters. It was reported that 150 residents were displaced to the space provided.
At the time of the incident, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Western Seram Regency and the joint team went directly to the location. In order to evacuate victims and also collect data.
Until now, the joint team is still distributing aid and also together with the community working together to meet the food needs of the affected communities.
