BNPB logistics assistance, as a form of the Central Government’s efforts to support the fulfillment of the basic needs of residents affected by the earthquake, has arrived in Simatalu Village and was received by local village officials on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
Simatalu Village is one of the areas affected by the earthquake with the largest number of refugees. Including Simalegi Village.
The Chief Executive of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of the Mentawai Islands Regency Novriadi, representing the local government of the Mentawai Islands Regency and the community, expressed their gratitude for the support provided by BNPB.
The form of support is very meaningful for the affected residents, because according to Novriadi, the supply of food needs in Simatalu Village and Simalegi Village is only enough for two days. So of course the support from the BNPB came just in time.
