FIFA published the official tier update on August 25, 2022. As reported by TheThao 247, at first the FIFA website deducted 3.17 points from the Vietnam national team which caused a drop in one ranking.
However, only a few minutes later, FIFA corrected the information. After being properly updated, the Vietnam national team still holds the 97th position with 1218.84 points.
By occupying the 97th position, the Vietnam national team still remains number one in Southeast Asia. After that, Thailand is ranked 111th with 1170.69 points.
The Philippines is ranked 134th with 1115.13 points. Malaysia is ranked 148 with 1057.59 points. Meanwhile, the position of the Indonesian national team is like heaven and earth with Vietnam.
The Indonesian national team is in 155th position with 1019.19 points. This means that the difference between Vietnam’s ranking and the Indonesian national team is 58 levels. (Salih)
